Baked Jalapeño Poppers

Jalapeño poppers are a great party appetizer, snack, and side dish. With jalapeños, you never know what you’re going to get in terms of spice, which is one of the reasons poppers are the best. These poppers are an explosion of cheesy goodness!

..and after!

Baked Jalapeño Poppers

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

10 jalapeños

1.5 cups Mexican-blend shredded cheese

2 Trader Joe’s Uncured Pork & Beef Hot Link Sausage, sliced into tiny cubes (see Note 1)

How to Make It

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Slice each jalapeños in half lengthwise and, using a spoon, scoop out the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cheese and sausage. Stir to combine.
  4. Stuff the pepper halves with the mixture and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10 to 13 minutes, until the cheese is golden and the peppers are soft. Serve.

Note 1: TJ’s Uncured Pork & Beef Hot Link Sausages are amazing in jalapeño poppers, but any flavorful sausage (i.e. pepperoni, etc.) will do.
