Bourbon Old Fashioned

Bourbon is one of my favorite spirits of all time and this is one of my favorite cocktails. This recipe is derived from liquor.com’s Bourbon Old Fashioned recipe.


Bourbon Old Fashioned

Yield: 1 Serving

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 teaspoon warm water
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • Large ice cube
  • Garnish: orange peel

How to Make It

  1. Add the sugar and bitters to a rocks glass, then add water, and stir until sugar is nearly dissolved.
  2. Fill the glass with large ice cubes, add the bourbon, and gently stir to combine.
  3. Express the oil of an orange peel over the glass, then drop in.
